Slovenian Language

The Slovenian language (slovenščina, slovenski jezik) belongs to the Western South Slavic languages of the Indo-European language family. The Slovenian language is spoken by approximately 2 million people in Slovenia. It is also spoken by Slovene immigrants in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Namibia, New Zealand and the USA. The two main dialects are Carinthian and Carniolan. It is written with the Latin script and comprises 35 letters, 5 vowels and 30 consonants.
