Croatian Language

The Croatian language is one of the four official languages of the nation of Croatia. It is also one of the official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a recognized minority language in Serbia, Montenegro, Romania and Hungary. Croatian is a part of the South Slavic group of languages within the Indo-European family. It was first recorded in 10th century Glagolitic script. The Croatian alphabet consists 24 letters and each letter has its own name. The original version contained 31 letters, but seven letters were removed from the alphabet in order to simplify it.
