Bulgarian Language
Bulgarian is a South Slavic language, closely related to Macedonian and to the other South Slavic languages, Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian and Slovene. Bulgarian is mutually intelligible with Macedonian and very closely related to Serbo-Croatian. To understand Bulgarian, you need to know that there are 3 kinds of definite articles in Bulgarian: the definite article ("the"), the indefinite article ("a") and a specific form (or a kind of possessive) that can be translated as "someone's". Bulgarian has 6 cases: nominative (subject) ergative (object) genitive (possessive), dative (indirect object), accusative (direct object) instrumental (using/with). In addition, there is a vocative case.
